Jedes Verhalten hat einen Grund, und die Identifizierung dieses Grundes erm\u00f6glicht es Therapeuten, Betreuern und P\u00e4dagogen, effektiver zu reagieren. Anstatt lediglich zu versuchen, ein Verhalten zu unterbinden, konzentriert sich ABA darauf, zu verstehen, warum es auftritt und angemessenere Alternativen zu lehren.<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt vier prim\u00e4re Funktionen von Verhalten: <strong>Aufmerksamkeit, Zugang, Flucht\/Vermeidung und automatische Verst\u00e4rkung<\/strong>. Ein Verhalten kann auftreten, um Aufmerksamkeit von anderen zu bekommen, Zugang zu einem gew\u00fcnschten Gegenstand oder einer Aktivit\u00e4t zu erhalten, einer Aufforderung zu vermeiden oder zu entkommen, oder weil es innerlich verst\u00e4rkend ist (wie sensorische Stimulation). Beispielsweise kann ein Kind durch Auslaufen von Aufmerksamkeit erhalten, eine Aufgabe ablehnen, um ihr zu entkommen, oder repetitive Bewegungen ausf\u00fchren, weil sich diese gut anf\u00fchlen.<\/p>\n<p>Indem die Funktion hinter einem Verhalten identifiziert wird, k\u00f6nnen Interventionen gezielter und effektiver eingesetzt werden.
